IceNet

IceNet is an open-source deep learning ecosystem for operational sea ice forecasting, developed by the British Antarctic Survey and The Alan Turing Institute. It provides a Python-based library and command-line interfaces to download, process, train, and predict monthly-averaged sea ice concentration maps up to six months in advance. The system aims to strengthen Arctic resilience by offering high-performance AI-driven forecasts that outperform traditional dynamical models.
