JSONiq

JSONiq is a standardized query language designed specifically for querying and processing the JSON data model, leveraging syntax and semantics from the W3C XQuery standard. It enables complex data manipulation—including projection, filtering, joining, and grouping—on denormalized, nested, and heterogeneous data structures found in NoSQL systems and data lakes. The project provides an open specification with multiple implementations, such as RumbleDB, to facilitate interoperability across various JSON-like formats.
