Next Frontier AI

Next Frontier AI is a European initiative managed by SPRIND, Germany’s Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation, designed to establish technological independence through the development of next-generation foundation models. The program provides up to €125 million in non-dilutive funding to ten selected teams over two years, with the goal of incubating three commercial ‘Frontier AI Labs’ capable of securing significant private follow-on investment.
