SESAR

The System for Earth Sample Registration (SESAR) is a community platform that provides digital infrastructure for the registration, discovery, and management of earth, environmental, and planetary samples. As an IGSN Allocating Agent funded by the NSF, it assigns globally unique identifiers to samples, ensuring they are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). SESAR connects physical specimens with their associated data and knowledge ecosystems for researchers, institutions, and sample facilities.
