TROLIE is an open-source initiative under the Linux Foundation Energy project that defines a vendor-neutral API specification for the automated exchange of transmission ratings and operating limits. It enables North American electric power utilities, operators, and reliability coordinators to comply with FERC Order 881 by facilitating real-time and forecasted data sharing based on ambient conditions. The platform provides standardized schemas, client SDKs, and conformance programs to ensure interoperability among diverse energy management systems.
