The center produced key open-source software including VisIt, VisTrails, SCIRun, and ImageVis3D to support collaborative research and remote data streaming. Its research activities were continued by the Scalable Data Management, Analysis, and Visualization (SDAV) Institute after VACET concluded in 2011.
