XtreemFS

XtreemFS is an open-source, fault-tolerant distributed file system designed for versatile storage needs across Linux, Windows, and OS X environments. It provides automatic failure handling and replication to ensure data reliability while scaling easily from single servers to large HPC and Hadoop clusters. The project is developed by the Zuse Institute Berlin with support from various EU and German research grants.
