Falcon Mega Track (FMT)

Falcon Mega Track (FMT) is a web-based vessel tracking platform within the Marine Software domain that enables centralized control of satellite terminals installed on ships. Its control panel is designed for ease of use and is continuously enhanced to improve usability and data visualization, operating over secure HTTPS web servers. The system supports both time-based and distance-based position reporting, polling for on-demand position updates, geo-fencing alerts, and position notifications via email and SMS. Additional functions include usage reporting for analysis, a prepaid FMT-unit billing mechanism, two years of track history for voyage analysis, and voyage or route planning tools that are under development.

FMT provides vessel reporting capabilities such as displaying up to five positions on maps, calculating astronomical data (including dawn, sunrise, solar noon, sunset, dusk, and day/night durations), and delivering weather forecasts at the vessel’s location with details on temperature, wind, pressure, visibility, and general weather conditions. It also offers proximity information, including named nearby locations, distance moved from the last reported position, speed and average speed, and the distance and bearing to the five nearest ports, along with low prepaid balance alerts. The platform can integrate third-party Inmarsat-C SSAS and standalone or built-in Inmarsat-C terminals, including models from Furuno (Felcom 12, 15, 16, 18 and later), JRC (JUE-75C, JUE-85C, JUE-95C, JUE-95SA), and Cobham (SAILOR 6120 mini-C SSAS), and supports tracking and Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) services.
