Agrecalc Cloud

Agrecalc Cloud is an Agriculture Software solution for measuring farm carbon footprints, built by bringing together practical on-farm experience with agricultural science and research. It supports detailed greenhouse gas calculations across entire farms, individual enterprises, and per kilogram of product, as well as through the wider supply chain. The tool has been selected to deliver carbon audits for the Scottish Farm Advisory Service, the Beef Efficiency Scheme, and the Scottish Farm Business Survey, and has also been used in government programmes in Northern Ireland and Wales since 2020. It is additionally recognised as a preferred carbon calculator in initiatives such as Preparing for Sustainable Farming in Scotland, DEFRA’s Future Farm Resilience programme in England, and AHDB’s Farm Excellence Platform in the UK.

The platform enables benchmarking against thousands of customer and verified datasets, helping identify mitigation options and areas for improvement. A team of scientists, consultants and developers continuously updates the underlying methodology to reflect current research and recommendations, with a major cloud-based version released in July 2023. The latest release offers a modern interface for faster data entry, integrated data handling, and pre-populated fields, along with clear data visualisations that support comparison and scenario testing. Extended coverage of herds, flocks, feeds, crops, fertilisers and inhibitors, combined with refined emissions data, is designed to provide more accurate, context-specific GHG estimates and to support the shift toward sustainable and efficient food production.
